Class of 2024 Commencement

Dear Seniors and Guests of the Class of 2024:

I look forward to welcoming you and your families, on behalf of the Skidmore College community, to the College’s 113th Commencement Exercises on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. We hope that when you read the schedule of activities for Commencement Weekend, you will be as full of anticipation as we are. My wife Barbara Reyes-Conner and I especially look forward to your joining us for a reception Friday afternoon at historic Scribner House, our residence and the former home of Lucy Skidmore Scribner. (I might add, this will be the end of my fourth year at Skidmore as well, so I will be celebrating my own “senior year” with you all, the great Class of 2024.)

As is our tradition, Skidmore will confer honorary degrees during the Commencement ceremony upon our deserving recipients. Each of our distinguished guests will briefly address the graduating class.  Be sure to check out the Commencement website in late March, when the Honorary Degree recipients will be announced! Board of Trustees Chair Jon P. Achenbaum ’77, Class of 2024 President Vicky Grijalva, and I will also offer our congratulations and remarks.

We look forward to celebrating this special milestone with the Class of 2024, their families, and all our guests in May. Following Commencement Exercises, the celebrations will continue! Please join graduates, families, friends, faculty, and staff for a reception on the grounds of SPAC to acknowledge and applaud the wonderful accomplishments of Skidmore College's Class of 2024. I greatly look forward to this wonderful celebration with you all.
