Robert teaches studio photography courses that combine an interdisciplinary approach
to the photographic medium.
Robert received a B.F.A. degree from the Kansas City 艺术 Institute in 1990. In 1994
he received an M.F.A. degree from the University of New Mexico. Since the mid 1990’s
Robert has forged an artistic collaboration with partner and wife, Shana ParkeHarrison.
Together they continue to create staged photographic images and sculptures that explore
a poetic narrative based on the triangular relationship of humans, technology and
自然. Their works can be found in museum collections such as the Los Angeles County
Museum of 艺术, Nelson-Atkins Museum of 艺术, Museum of Photographic 艺术ist in San Diego,
Williams College Museum of 艺术, Whitney Museum of American 艺术 and Galerie im Stadtmuseum,
德国耶拿. They have exhibited their work at the Jack Shainman Gallery in New
York, Catherine Edelman Gallery in Chicago, Mudam Luxembourg Musée d’艺术 Moderne Grand-Duc
Jean in Luxembourg and Galerie Suzanne Tarasieve in Paris, France.
The ParkeHarrisons have received awards from the Nancy Graves Foundation, Guggenheim
Fellowship, the Roswell 艺术ist-In-Residence and the Sirius 艺术 Center 艺术ist-In-Residence
in Cobh, County Cork, Ireland.
The ParkeHarrisons have two monographs, The Architect’s Brother (1999) and Counterpoint
(2008). Both books are published by Twin Palms Twelve Trees Press.
Their work is represented by Catherine Edelman Gallery in Chicago and Slete Gallery 在洛杉矶.
